Résumé This Decree-Law establishes the Secretary of State for Equality (SEI). SEI integrates a set of services that support the Secretary of State for Equality in the exercise of its powers, namely in promoting gender equality in laws, public policies, strategic and operational plans, government programs and the General State Budget, raising public awareness of issues of gender equality and inclusion, eliminating discrimination and violence against women and children and promoting women's participation in national political and socioeconomic life. In particular, SEI’s responsibilities are: a) Ensure integrated approach to gender and inclusion in all public policies and plans; b) Train members of gender working groups for the progressive integration of gender issues; c) Implement and evaluate public policies related to gender equality, Gender-Based Violence, etc.; d) Implement campaigns to combat domestic violence; e) Ensure the application of the Convention on the CEDAW; g) Ensure the integration of the gender perspective in the national legal system; h) Ensure public awareness on issues related to gender equality, women's rights, social and economic inclusion, and gender-based violence; i) Establish partnerships to promote gender equality and support civil society organizations; j) Support women's associations on women's rights; k) Ensure a consultation mechanisms for civil society organizations promoting gender equality and eradicating gender-based violence; l) Include in school curricula subjects related to gender equality, women's rights, social and economic inclusion and gender-based violence, etc. Texte intégral Portugais Site web www.legis-palop.org Références - Législation Implementé par Ministerial Order No. 60/2023 establishing the Functional Structure of the State Secretariat for Equality.
