Résumé This Decree-Law introduces into the National legal system the EU Directive 2001/18 regulating the deliberate release into the environment of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) for any purpose other than the market placement. It also regulates the market placement of products containing or composed of GMOs in the light of the precautionary principle, aiming at the protection of human health and of the environment. It is composed of 40 articles and 7 Annexes.
