This Decree-Law enters into force on the day following its publication and takes effect on 1 January 2022.
Résumé

This Decree-Law provides the third amendment to Decree-Law No. 61/2016 of 29 November, regulating the organization and functioning of the Social Sustainability Fund for Tourism, and the mechanism for liquidation, collection, administration and inspection of the tourist contribution. Annually, the revenues collected by the Fund will be applied as follows: a) 3% is intended for the Operation of the Social Sustainability Fund for Tourism (FSST); b) 8% are intended for the development of the “Cape Verde” brand and the national and international promotion of the country's tourist image; and c) 8% is earmarked for the vocational training financing system. The Fund contributes an amount, to be defined in a specific legislation, for financing the Social Fund aimed for the Eradication of the Extreme Poverty in Cape Verde.
