Résumé This Decree-Law, composed of 54 articles structured into five Chapters and one Annex, establishes the Authority for Food Safey and Economy (ASAE), with the aim of introducing a national coordination body for foodstuff control and the national focal point for other European Union Countries. The Decree-Law rules on ASAE legal status, mission and functions. In particular, ASAE shall be in charge for assessing and communicating risks in the food chain and in the related economic activities.
