Résumé

This Decree-Law amends a series of articles and re-publishes the Decree-Law No. 202/2004 regulating Hunting Act No. 173/99. It consists of 16 Chapters and 2 Annexes divided as follows: General provisions (chap. 1); Conservation of animal species, establishing the restrictions to be applied particularly in order to protect animals during mating seasons (chap. 2); Management of hunting resources, defining authorized hunting areas (chaps. 3 and 4); Right to Non-Hunting areas (chap. 5); Hunting activity, authorized period and species (chap. 6); Ranch and breeded animal species (chap. 7); Hunting products keeping and trade (chap. 8); Harmful animals density management (chap. 9); Classificated areas (chap. 10); Controls and sanctions (chap. 11); Administration and hunting controls (chap. 13); Hunting associations (chap. 14); Civil society participation (chap. 15); Taxes and Final dispositions (chaps 16 and 17). Annex 1 specifies animal species to be caught, Annex 2 list the Regions where hunting activity is permitted. Within the Autonomous Regions of Azores and Madeira the competent control will be under the respective regional authorities.
