Résumé This Decree-Law, composed of 22 articles and one Annex, rules on edible oils and fats to be used as row material for human consumption. In particular, the Decree-Law defines the conditions required for oil production and/or processing and rules on its commercialisation. The Decree-Law provides a classification and regulates the technologies to be used. Moreover, it regulates packaging requirements. Finally, it provides sanctions and penalties for non - compliance. The Annex details the general quality characteristics.
