Résumé

This Decree, consisting of 46 articles divided into eight Chapters and 18 Annexes, approves the Regulation on food information provided to consumers. The purpose of this Regulation is to develop section IV of the Protocol on veterinary matters, in particular the transposition of Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 on food information provided to the consumer as amended. This Regulation establishes the basis for ensuring a high level of consumer protection in relation to food information, ensuring the correct functioning of the national market and the commercial relations between the European Union and the Principality of Andorra. This Regulation establishes the general principles, requirements and responsibilities that govern food information and, in particular, food labelling. It also establishes the means to guarantee consumers' right to information, as well as procedures for providing food information. This Regulation applies to food business operators at all stages of the food chain and their activities on food information provided to the consumer. It applies to all foodstuff intended for the final consumer.
