It designates the Swedish Food Agency as the competent authority within the ambit of the Decree, specifying its tasks and duties. The Swedish Food Agency may issue regulations on: 1. the obligation of a control authority, a body with delegated tasks, or a natural person with delegated tasks, to provide information to the Agency; 2. the oblation of an organ or person with delegated tasks to provide information and to submit documents to the authority which delegated the task; and 3. the obligation of the person using protected designations of origin to provide information on his activities to a control authority, a body with delegated tasks or a natural person who has been delegated certain task. The Food Agency may also issue more detailed regulations for the enforcement of the Act (SFS 2009:1424) on the control of protected designations of agricultural products and foodstuffs.
