Résumé As granted by the provisions of the Section 3 (Part I) of the Gibraltar Quarantine Act (1935/07) which stipulates that the Government may by notice in the Gazette declare any particular disease which he deems to be of an infectious or contagious nature or which he considers is liable to become epidemic to be an infectious disease within the meaning of the Quarantine Act, this Declaration proclaims that Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (also denominated as SARS) is an infectious disease within the meaning of the Quarantine Act and within the meaning of the Quarantine (Air Traffic) Rules and the Quarantine (Sea and Land Traffic) Rules.
