Résumé

These Regulations: (1) prohibit the export of butter, butteroil, cheese, casein, skim milk, powder, whole milk powder or buttermilk powder; (2) regulate the application for export licences under section 55(1) of the Act; (3) require persons who purchased relevant dairy produce or proprietors of factories at which dairy products are produced to keep proper records showing the information specified in regulation 5; (4) impose the obligation of monthly returns for purposes of levy; (5) prescribe milk fat content and protein content in relation to the kind of dairy produce referred to in column 2 of Schedule 2 and 3. The object of Part II is to establish a system of export control that: (a) facilitates the orderly export of regulated dairy produce to regulated dairy markets in respect of that produce; and (b) enables the Commonwealth to administer Australia’s entitlements to export dairy produce at reduced, or special, tariff rates to particular dairy markets. (Regulations divided into 5 Parts and completed by 3 Schedules)
