Résumé

This Regulation lays down rules on the collection and management at European Community level of biological, technical, environmental and socioeconomic data concerning the fisheries sector. Member States must comply with these provisions at the time of adopting their national programmes on the collection and management of such data. Further rules deal with the use of data concerning the fisheries sector in the framework of the Common Fisheries Policy for the purpose of scientific analysis. The Regulation aims in particular at the improvement of the scientific advice needed for the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy.
