Résumé

This Act provides for the control of distribution and the quality of cottonseed intended to be placed on the market in Antigua and Barbuda. The Act requires seed to be controlled and approved by the Agricultural Officer and prohibits the removal of non–approved seed from a seed factory or the sowing or distributing of seed not approved for planting by the Agricultural Officer. Non-approved seed may be exported or used, after heat treatment, for meal or for oil. The Agricultural Officer, on the request of a person who cannot otherwise obtain cottonseed for planting, may obtain a supply of cottonseed fit for planting on terms specified in this Act.
