Résumé This Act creates a National Consumer Council to replace the existing consumer protection bodies and in general makes provision for the protection of customers in relation to utility supply and other specified contracts. The Act also contains a power to dissolve the Consumer Council for Water and transfer its functions to the Council established by the Act.
