Résumé

This CMM prescribes the standards for the collection, reporting, verification, and exchange of data related to fishing activities by vessels fishing in the Agreement Area. All Contracting Parties, cooperating non-Contracting Parties and participating fishing entities (CCPs) shall ensure that data on fishing activities, including species such as marine mammals, marine reptiles, seabirds or 'other species of concern', are collected from vessels flying their flag and fishing in the Agreement Area. The report shall be submitted to the Secretariat, by 31 May each year. The CMM further provides for submission of annual National Report of the fishing, research and management activities to the Scientific Committee. The text requires for submission of historical data to assist with the development of a bottom fishing footprint and stock assessments. The CMM describes provisions for scientific observer data; data verification; format for data submission; and review. The text has 21 Articles and 5 Annexes.
