Pays/Territoire Type du document Règlement Date 2010 Source FAO, FAOLEX Sujet Pêche Mot clé Pêche maritime Gestion et conservation des pêches Monitorage Collecte de données/déclarations Poissons marins Volume admissible de captures Haute mer Résumé This Conservation and Management Measure of the Western Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC), in accordance with the Convention on the Conservation and Management of Highly Migratory Fish Stocks in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean, imposes a phased reduction of total allowable catch of striped marling as specified in in high seas and EEZs within the convention area north of the equator. Each flag/chartering CCM shall decide on the management measures required to ensure that its flagged/chartered vessels operate under the catch limits as specified, including effort reductions, gear modification and spatial management. CCMs shall be under reporting obligations as specified. This measure shall be amended in 2011 based on the revised stock assessment for north Pacific striped marlin. Nothing in this measure shall prejudice the legitimate rights and obligations of Small Island Developing State Members and participating territories in the Convention Area seeking to develop their own domestic fisheries.
