Résumé The purpose of the Act is to make a contribution to the increase of electricity production from combined heat and power in the Federal Republic of Germany to 25 per cent through temporary protection, the promotion of the modernization and rebuilding of combined heat and power plants, the support of the market introduction of heat networks into which heat is injected from the combined heat and power installations, in the interest of energy saving, environmental protection and of reaching the climate protection objectives of the Federal Government.
