Résumé

This Code establishes that state sanitary-epidemiological supervision shall be intended activity of bodies of sanitary-epidemiological service on prevention, detection, suppression of infringements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in sphere of sanitary-epidemiological well-being of the population, and also the control over compliance with normative legal acts in sphere of sanitary-epidemiological well-being of the population and hygienic norms with a view of protection of public health, natural environment of the population and safety of production, processes and services. Activity in the sphere of sanitary-epidemiological well-being of the population shall be intended activity of state bodies and organizations of sanitary-epidemiological service, aimed at protection of public health, including the state sanitary-epidemiological control and supervision, sanitary-quarantine control, radiation control, epidemiological control, sanitary-epidemiological standardization, the state registration of food production and some categories of products and substances that have a harmful impact on human health, sanitary-epidemiological monitoring, sanitary-epidemiological expertise, hygiene training, risk assessment in the field of sanitary-epidemiological well-being of the population. The objects of state sanitary and epidemiological control and supervision are individuals and legal entities, buildings, structures, products and equipment, vehicles, soil, water, air, foodstuffs and other objects, the activity, use, consumption, application and operation of which may cause damage to human health and the environment. Officials of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service shall be responsible for identification of falsified products and to prohibit use of unauthorized (prohibited) food additives, ingredient and raw materials for alimentary purposes and manufacturing foodstuffs of animal origin in case of unavailability of sanitary and veterinary certificates. State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service shall be responsible for issuance of authorization for the period of shelf life of foodstuffs, registration or renewal of registration of infant food, food additives, registration and issuance certificates for packaging materials contacting with foodstuffs. Measures to prevent iodine deficiency diseases are implemented on the basis of responsibility of state bodies, individuals and legal entities for ensuring and complying with the requirements for the production, import, export and trade of iodized food and feed salt in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
