The present Regulations enter into force on 12 August 2011.
Résumé

The present Regulations are made under the Agri-Food Act, 2004. Section 3 establishes that the Saskatchewan Chicken Marketing Plan is continued. The purposes of the plan are, inter alia, to: a) control and regulate the production and marketing of chicken and chicken products in Saskatchewan; b) maintain a fair and stable price for chickens and chicken products in Saskatchewan that relates to the cost of production; c) initiate, support and conduct studies and research connected with the production, marketing or production and marketing of chickens and chicken products, including studies and research respecting consumer demand for Saskatchewan-grown chicken and chicken products; d) initiate, support and conduct activities to promote the production, marketing or production and marketing of chickens and chicken products in Saskatchewan. The text consists of 62 sections divided into 11 Parts as follows: Title and interpretation (I); Plan (II); Board (III); Board Orders (IV); Licensing (V); Quota (VI); Processors (VII); Elections (VIII); Levies (IX); Saskatchewan Chicken Industry Development Fund (X); Repeal, transitional and coming into force (XI).
