Résumé This Act implements the policy of the State to protect the forest resources under sustainable management. The Act provides regulations on manufacturing, sell and import of chain saws, authorised persons, registration, and penal provisions. The Act provides for reward in the case of reporting of unregistered chain saw. The Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources may revoke any Certificate of Registration or permit previously issued to a person found violating the provisions of this Act. To monitor and oversee the implementation of this Act, including the approval of the rules and regulations issued pursuant hereto, a Joint Congressional Oversight Committee is created.
