Résumé The present Regulations were made under Wildlife Act (S.S. 1979, c.W-13.1) which was repealed, but these Regulations continue in force under the Wildlife Act, 1998. In particular, the Regulations lay down comprehensive provisions relating to licences for holding certain wildlife species in captivity. The text – consisting of 26 sections – deals with the following matters: licence renewal, commercial wildlife farms, acquisition of wildlife, records and inspections, escape from captivity, import and export, diseased wildlife, quarantine, dangerous wildlife, maintenance of captive wildlife and destruction of wildlife.
