Résumé

Canada and Manitoba agree to the following objectives for this Agreement: a) to foster cooperation between Canada and Manitoba concerning the environmental assessment of project proposals; b) to achieve greater efficiency and the most effective use of public and private resources, where environmental assessment processes involving both Parties are required by law; and c) to establish accountability and predictability by delineating the roles and responsibilities of the federal and provincial governments. The text deals, inter alia, with the following maters: designated offices, notification and determination of parties participating in an environmental assessment, cooperative environmental assessment, aboriginal considerations, accommodating interest, accommodating transboundary concerns, dispute resolution, revisions and duration of agreement,
