It is not applicable to the following categories of planting material: (a) destined for export to countries that are not members of the European Union; (b) destined for testing or scientific purposes; and (c) destined for breeding work. Planting material shall be classified as follows: (a) pre-base material; (b) base material; (c) certified material; and (d) standard material (Conformitas Agraria Communitatis – CAC). Plant Protection Service certifies the material as certified material if: (a) it corresponds to the description of the variety or the rootstock - the description of the species; (b) it is propagated from a certified mother plant; (c) it is not infected or infested with harmful organisms; (d) it is grown in soil in which the harmful organisms have not been detected; and (e) no damage has been detected during visual inspections.
