The assaying and marking of precious metal articles shall be performed by valsts sabiedrība ar ierobežotu atbildību “Latvijas proves birojs” [State limited liability company Assay Office of Latvia]. Precious metal articles may be submitted for marking by both a natural person and a legal person. Upon accepting articles for marking and issuing them back, the Office shall verify the identity of the person – a personal identification document for natural persons, a personal identification document and a power of attorney for a representative of a legal person.
