This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Résumé

This Resolution consisting of 14 articles aims at regulating the National Center for Water Efficiency and Rationalization, linked to the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, which has its main task in contributing to raising the efficiency and rationalization of water and unifying the efforts of governmental and non-governmental agencies in this field. In order to achieve its objectives, the Center shall undertake, among other tasks, the following (i) establishing national programs for water efficiency and rationalization, and setting related plans and the policies, along with following up their implementation; (ii) proposing projects for water efficiency and rationalization systems; (iii) issuing technical regulations, standards, and procedures; (iv) contributing with the relevant authorities to develop standard specifications for devices and equipment; (v) establish mechanisms and procedures to stimulate the reuse of gray water; (vi) helping to the management of water efficiency and rationalization cards program; (vii) setting rules for the qualification and licensing of water efficiency and rationalization service providers; (viii) setting rules related to efficiency and rationalization of water tests; (ix) monitoring compliance with water efficiency and rationalization standards; (x) obtaining related information from any water user and developing a database to achieve the center's mission; (xi) preparing periodic reports on water production, consumption, efficiency, and rationalization; (xii) encouraging the conduct of studies and research in the field; (xiii) supporting investment and financing in the area; (xiv) approval of training and professional programs and certification bodies for training in the fields of water efficiency and rationalization; and (xv) concluding agreements and memoranda of understanding with international and regional bodies.
