Section 2 imposes a duty on occupiers of land to eradicate bunchy top occurring on their land and to prevent spreading, whereas section 3 requires occupiers to notify the Director of Agriculture on the existence of the disease. Removal of infected plants requires approval of the Director (sect. 4). The Director may declare quarantine areas under section 5. Occupiers of land within quarantine areas shall comply with certain requirements and the Director may issue a notice to that effect (sects. 6 and 7).
