Section 3 states that the purpose of the present Act is to establish the British Columbia Treaty Commission. The purpose of the Commission is to facilitate in British Columbia, the negotiation of treaties among one or more first nations, Her Majesty in right of Canada and Her Majesty in right of British Columbia.
