With a view to conserve the environment for future generations nature and its landscape, due to its value, being such the living space of human beings, shall be protected in such a way as to secure in the long run its integrity, capability of regeneration and sustainable use, the conservation of flora and fauna including living places and spaces, as well as its beauty and recreation value. The text consists of 68 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Countryside planning and environment observation (II); General preservation, fostering and development measures (III); Protection, preservation and development of certain parts of nature and landscape (IV); European ecological net “Natura 2000”(IVa); Protection and preservation of wild fauna and flora (V); Recreational use of nature and landscape (VI); Right of pre-emption, expropriation, compensation (VII); Organization (VIII); Violation, fines (IX).
