The Governor in Council may appoint a registrar of brands, a deputy registrar of brands and inspecting officers under section 4. Sections 5 to 20 provide for the application for and registration of a various brands for various types of animals and the use of such brands. Slaughterhouse inspector shall furnish information on brands of slaughtered animals weekly to the inspector of brands (sect. 21). Powers of inspectors are described in section 23. Remaining sections prescribe offences and deal with general matters such as exemptions, fees, and regulation making powers.
