It prescribes the forms to be used and the fees to be paid for the registration of brands (sects. 3 and 7). Sections 9 and 10 defined brand specifications for cattle and horses while section 11 indicates which characters are acceptable components of a registered brand. An electronic record of all registered brands and notches shall be kept and a list of all brands shall be available in a publication known as the Saskatchewan Registered Livestock Brands Book. The Regulations are completed by the models of the forms necessary under the Regulations and the Animal Identification Act.
