Résumé

An Act to establish a Border Management Agency for the administration of Belize's border points with other countries and to provide for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. A Border Management Agency is established under section 3. The Agency shall be a body corporate to be managed by a Board of Directors. Its principal functions shall be:(a) to administer, control and manage prescribed border points and any other property vested in it under this Act; (b) to provide and maintain such services and facilities as are in its opinion necessary or desirable for the efficient operation of prescribed border points or as the Minister may require; (c) to provide, or to coordinate the provision of emergency services, including rescue and fire fighting services, at prescribed border points. Regulation making powers of the Minister, subject to consultation with the Agency, are set out in section 31.
