Résumé

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the protection of nature and landscape in the Land of Berlin. To conserve the environment for future generations, nature and its landscape, being the living space of human beings, shall be protected in such a way as to secure in the long run its integrity, capability of regeneration and sustainable use, as well as to ensure the conservation of flora and fauna and living spaces, including its beauty and recreation value. The present Law consists of 64 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Land use planning (2); General protection of nature and landscape (3); Protection of certain parts of nature and landscape (4); Protection of species, protection of labels, ban on use of road salt (5); Recreation in nature and landscape (6); Participation of authorized nature protection associations, organization of nature protection (7); Ownership, allocation of costs (8); Penalties (9); Transitional and final provisions (10).
