Inspections include inspection of materials to be exported for purposes of issuing a Sanitary or Phytosanitary Certificate, onboard inspections on arriving vessels by Quarantine Officers, inspection of a food commodity to be imported without a Sanitary Certificate and quarantine inspection. Sampling and analyzis shall concern import risks of commodities imported for the first time in Belize, commodities imported from a country or region not previously approved or otherwise at risk. Commodities in transit shall be treated a commodities to be imported in Belize. The Regulations prescribe fees for the various kinds of inspection, sampling and analyzing services.
