The Board shall make recommendations to the Minister on encouragement and promotion of the use of atomic energy and protection of health and the environment. The Committee shall advise the Board on matters referred to it by the Board. The Act requires a licence to use radioactive material to be obtained from the Board and defines the responsibility of a licence holder.
