The importer is obliged to submit the following documents to food control centres present at border entries: A regular preliminary health certificate from the country of origin stating that the meats are free of materials detrimental to public health, hormones and diseases; a certificate from the Ministry of Health of the country of origin confirming the fitness for human consumption and how the meat is used in that country; a health certificate confirming that the meat is free from radiation. Meat shall be frozen and shall not contain any nutritive additions which are forbidden or exceed the allowed limits. Article 4 provides for labelling requirements.
