This Standard enters into force on 1 January 2010.
Résumé

This standard was formulated for the purpose of protecting the environment and providing technical support and guidance on clean production for waste lead-acid battery recycling industry. The standard specifies general requirements on waste lead-acid battery recycling industry for clean production. The indices are classified into six categories, including production process and equipment, resource and energy utilization, products, pollutant generation (before end-of- pipe treatment), waste recovery and utilization and environmental management. The standard applies to waste lead-acid battery recycling enterprises for the review of clean production and determination of their potential and opportunities for clean production, assessment and notification of their performance as well as other environmental management systems including environmental impact assessment and pollution discharge permit.
