Part II provides for the control of trespass and straying of any cattle, horses or sheep (“stock”), goat or swine. It requires holders of animals to properly confine them provides for confinement orders. Part III concerns the establishment and operation of pounds and, for this purpose, the appointment of poundkeepers. The poundkeeper may impound all animals found straying and at large within the limits of a town and shall keep, treat and dispose of such animals as prescribed in Part III. Part IV provides for the assignment, registration, use, control, inspection, etc. of stock and other brands, marks and identification of stock. There shall be a Chief Inspector of Brands and a Registrar and Deputy Registrars of Brands. Part V concerns the control of dogs. Part VI concerns the prevention of prevention of cruelty to animals.
