Résumé The present Act lays down provisions relating to the health and protection of animals. For the purpose of the Act "animal" includes honey bees and other invertebrates as may be prescribed by regulation to be included as animals. Section 5 establishes that an inspector may inspect an animal, animal by-product, animal product, waste material, bedding, food, water, drugs or other thing related to an animal, where an inspector reasonably believes that it is necessary to carry out an inspection to determine the presence, absence or prevalence of a contagious or infectious disease, or to prevent the spread of a contagious or infectious disease.
