Résumé The Act consists of 43 sections divided into 7 Chapters: General provisions (I); Industrial Feed preparations (II); Operation of activities related to feed (III); Competent authorities (IV); Supervision (V); Measures of enforcement (VI); Miscellaneous provisions (VII). The scope of the Act is to enhance the production and use of good quality feed preparations (sect. 1). This Act shall apply to production, placing upon the market, use, importation and exportation of manufactured feed for animals. Section 4 of Chapter 4 formulates general requirements for feed. and section 7 makes specifically provision with respect to genetically manipulated feed substances. Persons involved in production or trade of manufactured animal feed shall register with the supervising authorities. The overall supervising authority shall be the competent Ministry and actual control shall be carried out by the Plant Production Control Centre (sects. 23 and 24). Feed includes also animal drugs (sect. 3). A Register containing data supplied together with applications shall be established by the supervising authority (sect. 28).
