Résumé

This Regulation, of 15 sections and One Annex, makes provisions and establishes conditions for the elimination of Tuberculosis in Cattle. Section (1) regards immediate notification to the animal holder and to the government veterinarian doctor, if an animal has been found infected by the disease. Sections (2) and (3) regard powers given to the government veterinarian doctor to operate Tuberculosis tests on animals in the places and in the periods by him, or to authorize another veterinarian doctor to operate the test instead of him. Section (4) regard the marking of infected animals. Sections (5) and (6) regard slaughtering procedures for infected animals and appeals for slaughtering procedures to be operated by the animal holder. Section (7) provides with prohibitions regarding the bringing or holding of infected cattle within the borders of a slaughterhouse unless authorized by the slaughterhouse veterinarian doctor. Section (8) prohibits the transportation or the moving of infected cattle unless authorized by the government veterinarian doctor. Sections (9) and (10) regard the declaration by the government veterinarian doctor of a zone as a quarantined area and the limitations related to this declaration; A) no cattle can taken out of the quarantined zone. B) no animal food such as straw, waste or any material situated within the quarantined area can be taken out. C) the land holder of that area shall operate cleaning and disinfection operations as prescribed by the government veterinarian doctor. Section (11) establishes that a quarantined area shall remain so until the government veterinarian doctor shall declare the contrary. Section (12) regards workers that can cause the passing of the disease to other animals, in that case, the government veterinarian doctor has the power to prohibit from that person to work until a medical exam shall be done on that worker and a certificate has been obtained. Section (13) obliges the cattle holder to help the government veterinarian doctor with all operations regarding the elimination of the disease as listed in this regulation. Sections (14) and (15) give general information. The Annex provides with various form modules related to this regulation.
