Entry into force notes
This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 29 September 2020.
Résumé

This Act provides statutory status to the Andhra Pradesh State Development Corporation Limited (Corporation) established in 2020 as a public limited company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. It provides for the Shareholding Pattern, Board of Directors, Officers and Employees of the Corporation. The Act lays down the objectives of the Corporation including providing necessary support acting as an enabler for the key socio-economic Sustainable Development Goals across multiple domains viz. Poverty Eradication & Livelihood Enhancement [SDG-1], Doubling Agricultural Productivity and Farmer’s Incomes [SDG-2], Reliable & Universal Healthcare[SDG-3], Inclusive & Equitable Quality Education [SDG-4], Women Empowerment [SDG-5], Clean Water & Sanitation[SDG-6], Housing for Poor [SDG-11]. It also lays down the other core activities of the Corporation, functions and powers, and provision for finances. The government may assign such schemes which fulfil the core objectives of the Corporation. The Corporation shall maintain accounts of its fund which will be audited, it shall prepare and submit to the Shareholders/ State Government annual reports.
