Résumé

This Proclamation of the Council of the Amhara National Region provides for the organization, powers and duties of the executive organs of the Amhara National Region with the principle of gender equality. It, among other things: defines powers and duties of the Head of Government, the Deputy Head of Government, and the membership of the Council of the Regional Government; establishes various Bureaus of government including an Agriculture Bureau, an Environmental Protection, Rural Land Administration and Use Bureau, the Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Parks’ Development, and a Water Resource Development Bureau; defines specific powers and duties of these Bureaus; stipulates which executive bodies shall be accountable to the various Bureaus; provides in general with respect to the administration of the Amhara National Region.
