Regulation 1 provides for inspection of Easter lily fields, also for purposes of certification of planting material for exportation. For this purpose an application for inspection shall be made by the grower or approved cooperative organization to which the field belongs. Regulation 5 provides for re-examination of fields after the removal of undesirable plants. In the case of any field of Easter lilies which, because of the presence in it of too high a percentage of diseased or off-type plants, cannot, in the opinion of the Director, be made fit for shipment, the field shall be condemned, and the Director shall cause the bulbs to be destroyed (reg. 8). Regulations 10 to 15 concern inspection of nursery stock prior to shipment. Shipping certificates shall be issued in accordance with regulation 16. Regulation 18 places restrictions on export of vegetables and fruits to the United States of America or to the British West Indies. Regulations 22 to 24 concern packing material and containers. All nursery stock for export shall be packed in cases and in packing material approved by the Director. Regulation 26 and following concern exportation of Easter lily bulbs.
