Résumé

This Regulation comprises 25 sections, plus Form 1, "Petition for Letters Patent of Incorporation as an Agricultural Society" and Form 2, "By-laws for Agricultural Society for District No.... Duly Incorporated Under the Agricultural Associations Act". The objective of Agricultural Societies ("Societies") is to encourage and promote improved agricultural methods and generally promote agriculture through information dissemination (sect. 6). Societies are formed when twenty-five or more people petition the Lieutenant Governor in Council ("Governor") for incorporation, using Form 1 (sects. 3-5). More than 25 members are allowed if the Governor approves (sect. 15). The Legislature may distribute grants among societies, and their reduction can be appealed (sects. 10 and 11). Societies shall file annual financial and membership reports on 1 December and failure to do so cedes the right to grants for the following year (sects. 12-15). Remaining sections concern Societies operations; e.g., by-laws requirements, fees and duties levied and loan provisions. (Form 2 and secs. 16-24).
