Résumé This Act empowers the Government to declare any market to be a notified market and establishes the figure of the market functionary, as an intermediary between the producer and the seller. Market functionaries may operate in a notified market only in possession of a licence issued by the Agricultural Marketing Department. Requirements and procedures for obtaining a licence are set out in the text.
