This Order shall take effect immediately upon acknowledgment by the UP Law Center and fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
Résumé

This Order is enacted further to government's policy of ensuring the sustainable productivity and socio-economic stability and providing equity in access to natural resources. The Order provides for the objectives to be followed for conserving Narra resources through rationalised extraction and optimised utilisation, and to sustain the economic efficiency of narra-based industries. Chapter II of the Order provides for extraction of Narra resources , collection of forest charges and processing and deal with the issues of issuance of Special Private Land Timber Permit (SPLTP), tree marking within public forestland, harvesting schemes, logging, establishment of log yards and assessment of forest charges and transport of Narra logs. Chapter III refers to transport of semi-finished, finished and knocked-down Narra wood products, Chapter IV provides for sustainable development of Narra timber stocks, Chapter V refers to other provisions. This Order consists of 21 Articles divided into 5 Chapters.
