In particular the object of this Act is to promote the pooling of operations by marine products processing enterprises for the marketing of their products with a view to supporting and promoting the sale of standardized marine products of superior quality and ensuring a steady supply of the market. For the purposes of this Act, any fish, shellfish or crustacean able to live in a marine environment and any echinoderm, including any part of such animals and any product or by-product derived there from, is a marine product.
