Résumé Performing the profession of veterinarian consists in the protection of animals health and veterinary protection of public health and the environment, and in particular: (1) examination of the health state of animals; (2) recognizing, preventing and fighting against diseases of animals; (3) treatment of animals; (4) issuing veterinary opinions; (5) examination of slaughter animals, meat and other products of animal origin; (6) veterinary supervision over trade in animals; (7) examination and veterinary assessment of feed and medicated feed as well as conditions for their production and distribution; 8) use of veterinary medicinal products issued on the prescription of a veterinarian; (9) issuing prescriptions for medicinal products.
