Résumé

In order to contribute to the assurance of stable and suitable supplies of energy according to the domestic and international economic and social environment, the purpose of this Act is to promote national efforts with regard to new energy utilization, as well as to take measures necessary to facilitate the utilization of new energy, thereby contributing to the sound development of the national economy and stabilization of lives of the citizens. Article 3 deals with the Basic Policy which shall be prescribed in regard to certain matters, while taking into consideration the circumstances, such as the long-term outlook for energy supply and demand, the specific characteristics and the technical levels of the «New Energy Utilization» and giving due consideration to the preservation of the environment. The text consists of 35 sections divided into 4 chapters as follows: General provisions (I); Basic policy (II); Promoting new energy utilization as carried out by business operators (III); Miscellaneous provisions (IV).
