Résumé

This Law provides special measures for stabilizing the production of wood, facilitating its distribution, and promoting the use of forestry products in areas where forests are considered to be rational in terms of forestry resources in view of the situation of forest resources. The purpose of this Law is to ensure a stable supply of timber and thereby contribute to the integrated development of the forestry and timber manufacturing industries. The prefectural governor considers the forest planning area specified by the provisions of Article 7, paragraph 1 of the Forest Act No. 249 of 1947, and the forest specified in paragraph (1), can be a designated area if there is a forest of a considerable forestry area that requires the rationalization of the use of forests in view of its age and other forestry resources.
