Gender in this Act refers to women, men and people with gender neutral registration in the national register, unless otherwise specifically stated. This objective shall be achieved through: a) working towards the integration of gender and equality considerations in policy making and decisions in all areas of society; b) working towards equal influence of women and men in society; c) improving the position of women and increase their potential in society; d) working against wage inequality and other discrimination based on gender in the labor market; e) enabling everyone, regardless of gender, to balance family and professional life; f) promoting education on equality issues; g) analyzing statistical information by gender; h) promoting research in gender and equality studies; i) working against gender-based violence, gender-based harassment and sexual harassment; j) changing traditional gender images and working against negative stereotypes about the roles of women and men; k) promoting that jobs are not classified into separate women's and men's job; l) paying particular attention to the status of people with gender-neutral registration in the national register; and m) working against multiple discrimination.
